Rules:
- Any items that are able to be recycled (per chart below) should be placed in the can labeled “Recycle” under the kitchen sink. All items must be
clean/rinsed!
- Any items that are able to be composted (per chart below), should be placed in the pail on the deck labeled “Compost”. Pail should be closed tightly.
- Any items that are in the “Out” list in each chart below should be placed in the trash container under the sink. This container has a bag. If you have followed #1 and #2 above, you
should produce no more than 1 bag of trash a week.

What Not to Compost - The OUT List - Create odor problems and attract pests such as rodents and flies
Dairy products (e.g., butter, egg yolks, milk, sour cream, yogurt)
Fats, grease, lard, or oils
Meat or fish bones and scraps
Lobster or crab shells and scraps

Fill out the form on the dining table and, at departure, drop it in the box outside the Check-in Cottage along with your key. Drawing by November 1st, 2010. The winner will be notified immediately
thereafter. Odds of winning about 1 in 300! *Valid for the 2011 season and to be used only at cottages located at
410 Main Street, Southwest Harbor, ME.
